Although they were a couple of years down the road from a World Series Championship, the 1927 Philadelphia Athletics were already paving the way to the 1929 victory, finishing 2nd in the American League with a record of 91 wins and 63 losses, and full of a star-studded roster. Offered here is a Reach Official American League (Johnson) baseball signed by 20 members of the 1927 A's, including legends Ty Cobb & Jimmie Foxx. Aside from The Georgia Peach, and Double X, other notable names include Mickey Cochrane (x2), Lefty Grove, Al Simmons, Eddie Collins, Zack Wheat, Howard Ehmke, and Walter French. The ball exhibits dark toning as well as cracking to the leather across the surface. See images for details.
