Syracuse University had its most successful season in 1959, going undefeated behind the rushing prowess of Ernie Davis and the play of an all-around excellent offense. ‘Cuse went undefeated in 1959, outscoring opponents 413-73 and finishing the year with a 23-14 dismantling of the Texas Longhorns in the Cotton Bowl Classic. Offered here is a Rawlings vintage custom painted presentational football signed by thirty-four (34) members of the undefeated national champions Syracuse Orangemen. Signatures on this football include Ernie Davis, Ger Shwedes, Roger Davis, Jerry Sobul, John Nichols, Bob Yates, Mark Weber, Gary Fallon, Joe Caramanna, Ken Erickson, Dave Sarette, Dick Easterly, Ben Schwartzwalder (Head Coach) and several others. The ball does not full hold air due to aging and exhibits uniform toning as showcased. In overall fine condition.
