You can't get very far into a conversation of the NFL's all-time greatest quarterbacks without the name John Elway surfacing. The first quarterback ever to play in five Super Bowls, a record that was only defeated recently by Tom Brady, Elway was the complete package of size (6'3"), pocket presence, a rocket arm and the ability to run when needed. Above all, Elway had a stubborn, unwavering desire to win! When trailing in the 4th quarter, few quarterbacks in NFL history have engineered more game-winning drives than John Elway. Offered is John Elway’s game-used blue mesh jersey from the 1997 season when Elway and the Denver Broncos defeated the Green Bay Packers 31-24 in Super Bowl XXXII. Elway signed the jersey and inscribed "Game Use". Inside the collar is a team tagged "97-48" patch to indicate year and jersey size. You can see some great use on the jersey including fraying and pilling throughout the jersey.. The autograph comes with a COA from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS). The jersey is accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity from game used jersey authority Dave Miedema. This is an unbelievable game used collectible from one of Elway's Super Bowl winning years.
