The second in a run of three consecutive World Series titles, 1999 marked one of the Bronx Bombers’ most dominant postseason performances of all-time. The Yankees lost just once in the playoffs on their way to a sweep of the Atlanta Braves in the Fall Classic. This sweep followed on the heels of the prior year’s sweep and the final four victories in 1996 to give this Yankee franchise 12 consecutive World Series games won! All the notables are here: Joe Torre, Derek Jeter, Andy Pettitte, David Cone, Mariano Rivera, Roger Clemens, Bernie Williams, Tino Martinez and Jorge Posada.
