Black and white matte finish photo of Hitler conversing with a fellow Nazi, measuring 7.75” x 9.75” including the original matte, actual image size 4.75” x 5.75,” signed in black ink by Adolf Hitler, who inscribes to “Ernst Rubl,” and adds the date, “Dec 1, 1943.” In fine condition. After Germany’s defeat at the Battle of Stalingrad in February 1943, Hitler shied from the public eye and many of his former supporters turned against him. Reportedly, there were seven planned, thought thwarted assassination attempts on his life taking place the year this photo was signed. Interesting as it pertains to this piece, as Hitler appearingly inscribes to a subordinate, one who very well may have been working against The Fuhrer and how history may have changed had one of his underlings been successful.
