Partly-printed German document, one page both sides, dated March 3, 1941 from the Fuhrer’s Headquarters, 8.25” x 11.75,” boldly signed on the reverse in black ink by Commander Alfred Jodl, who adds an inscription, likely referring to the material’s subject. The document, a Military Assessment provides details on Major General Walter Warlimot of the Armed Forces High Command, noting he was “Mentally far above average, outgoing personality, very clever, very skillful, self confident about his values…is more strongly guided by the forces of reason rather than by those of feeling.” In fine condition. Accompanied by a multi-page translation of the document. Jodl (1890–1946) served as the Chief of the Operations of Staff for the German Armed Forces High Command throughout World War II. He was subsequently tried for war crimes, convicted, and hanged at Nuremburg.
