Apollo 11: Crew Signed Official NASA 8" x 10" Color Photograph Inscribed to Former Chicago Cubs Player Don Young! (JSA)

Color 10" x 8" Nasa "Red-Numbered" photo of the historic Apollo 11 crew posing together in their white space suites, nicely hand signed and inscribed in black felt tip ink pen, "To Don Young, Best Regards, Michael Collins," and signed "Neil Armstrong," and "Buzz Aldrin." Photo itself has been backed by a sheet of equal size for additional reinforcement; some professional repairs to previous wear with some light scattered surface impressions and toning. In overall very good condition with very strong signatures--in particular a superb Armstrong.

The Apollo 11 crew were in the Windy City for a ticker tape parade in their honor on August 16, 1969. One of the Wrigley Field faithful--in hopes of cheering up a despondent Young following a famous tongue-cheek lashing from teammate Ron Santo a few weeks prior--likely secured the image for the centerfielder. A unique and highly collectible combination, blending America's pastime with one of the greatest achievements in modern American history!
