Eddie Van Halen photo with cigarette he smoked at the LAPD Celebrity Golf Tournament
at Rancho Park Golf Course in Los Angeles. Van Halen began receiving treatment for tongue cancer in 2000.
The subsequent surgery removed roughly a third of his tongue. He was declared cancer-free in 2002.
Acquired by renowned in-person autograph collector Steve Woolf of the I.P.A. Network and accompanied by his letter of provenance, Steve notes, "Everyone was quite surprised to see Eddie smoking at the Golf Tournament. The cigarettes were not a common brand.
He's holding the pack of cigarettes in his hand. When he had to tee off, he took a drag and then dropped the cigarette
on the ground. I noticed what he did and picked it up." Accompanied by a photo of Van Halen smoking the cigarette and a Letter of Provenance.
