This one-page letter was originally written in the hand of Dr. Janet Travell, President John F. Kennedy's personal physician and an expert in musculoskeletal pain. In the note, Dr. Travell writes that Dr. Anne Belcher (Mrs. Kennedy's doctor), will be available to see Jackie on the morning of January 23rd. The note is dated January 18, 1963. The envelope of the original letter was written to "Mrs. Kennedy" in Travell's handwriting. At the top left corner of the White House letterhead, the First Lady has written a response - "Let me know when she gets here. JBK." She has then gone onto cross out her own name on the envelope and re-address it to "Dr. Travell." Not only is this a rare note with initials by Jackie Kennedy, but considering President Kennedy's history with prescription drug abuse, the addition of Dr. Travell's note adds more intrigue! In fine condition with minor handling wear and expected toning due to age. Accompanied by full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
