Evolving into the showpiece set for the post-WWII era, the 1952 Topps baseball series is accorded, and justifiably so, more time and attention than almost any other release from any era. Agreement is nearly universal that a completed 1952 set is the pinnacle of collecting accomplishment. With this elusive set comes its obstacles as lesser card series are completed with far more ease and regularity than these early, large-sized gum card masterpieces, whose devotees collectively scour countless shows while searching for that elusive high number or the missing superstar. Offered is a 364-card near-complete set containing numerous 4-5 graded beauties along with cards up to the grade of 7 of the highly desired original 1952 Topps baseball trading cards. With only a modest amount of effort put into filling in gaps and upgrading, this offering can easily become a very attractive VG-EX or better complete assembly of this landmark issue. Due to the amount of images, we have attached a dropbox link which contains every cards front image along with a spreadsheet which can be used to distinguish black backs & potential gaps within the set.
