Jim Thome used this Louisville Slugger M9 maple bat during his tenure with the White Sox circa 2006-08. The model number "I13" is stamped on the signature barrel of the bat. Thome's number 24 is written on the knob of the bat in marker. The bat measures 34.5" and weighs in at 34 oz. It shows some heavy use with ball marks, stitch marks, bat rack marks and a cracked handle, which is held together by clear tape. MEARS believes with the nature and color the ball marks, as well as the lack of a taped knob that is typically found on Thome's game used bats, that this is a batting practice used bat. Accompanied by COA from MEARS. Thome went onto sign the barrel of the bat as well, and his signature is accompanied by a COA from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
