In 1940, Joe DiMaggio w ould have another stellar season. He led the league with a .352 batting average, drilled 31 homers, and had 133 RBI, making it his fourth consecutive season of 30 or more homers and his fifth with 100 or more RBI. He was a model of consistency on the field. This is the first card in the 1940 Play Ball issue, picturing DiMaggio in his classic batting pose. Although the whole set is condition sensitive, dealing with varying degrees of toning, the featured card undeniably commemorates one of DiMaggio's best seasons. Despite the condition issues and low grade, it is still a worthy vintage collectible. Authenticated, graded PR 1, and encapsulated by PSA.
