Fantastic presentation of several strands of Jimi Hendrix’s hair. The attractive offering consists of several strands of Hendrix’s unmistakable dark locks, the largest measuring approximately 1.25,” housed in a small 2” x 2” card with plastic overlay, and presented on a 8.5” x 11” sheet including an image of Hendrix on “Guitar World” Magazine and the original ‘voodoo amulet’ lock from which these strands originate, and certified authentic at the conclusion by recognized expert John Reznikoff. The complete lock, was originally part of a Voodoo amulet featured in “Guitar World” and shown on Good Morning America. The world’s foremost hair collector and expert, John Reznikoff of University Archives, was named in 2014’s “Guinness World Records” book as having world’s “Largest Collection of Historic Hair.”

A genuinely amazing artifact, these actual strands of Jimi Hendrix’s hair were once part of an amulet used by “Guitar World” magazine to hold a seance at “Electric Lady Studios,” in an attempt to interview Hendrix himself—a first for the magazine, as the guitarist had passed a decade prior to the publication’s inception. “Good Morning America” attended the seance to document the event, which aired Sunday, September 19, 1993, exactly 23 years and one day after Hendrix’s death in 1970, at the tender age of 27. Accompanied by images of the January 1994 “Guitar World” article picturing the amulet, which originally included the here-offered hair. One-of-a-kind piece of Rock history from one of the greatest musicians of all time—this is the only verified Hendrix hair in private hands and boasts impeccable provenance.
