Typed letter on one single-sided page of personal letterhead featuring an engraved coat of arms, 7.5” x 9.5,” dated January 13, 1947 at the Waldorf Towers in NYC, and signed at the conclusion in black ink by “Edward, Duke of Windsor.” Correspondence to Miss Evangeline Booth of Hartsdale, NY reads, in part: “It was indeed a privilege to be invited to speak on behalf of The Salvation Army…if my radio talk proves to be successful in enlisting continued support from the generous American people, I shall be more than satisfied.” In fine condition.
