A choice piece from one of the greatest comedians and most popular SNL hosts of all-time, offered here is a one-page agreement, 8.5" x 11", October 20, 1976, in which Steve Martin, on behalf of Steve Martin Inc., agrees to "lend" Steve Martin's acting services so that he may host "Saturday Night Live". Nicely signedby Martin at the conclusion as the "Lender" in black ink. In the mid-1970s, Martin made frequent appearances as a stand-up comedian on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson, and on The Gong Show, HBO's On Location and NBC's Saturday Night Live (SNL). SNL's audience jumped by a million viewers when he made guest appearances, though despite a common misconception, he was never a cast member. Martin has guest-hosted Saturday Night Live 15 times, as of January 2009, tied in numbers of presentations, with host Alec Baldwin. Nicely matted along with images of Martin and housed in a black matte finish frame, measuring 28" x 19" overall. Some light handling wear to the frame itself, otherwise fine. COA from PSA/DNA.
