The 1969 Yankee’s weren’t one of the better teams in Yankee’s history finishing up at 80-81. The 69 team would be best known for two things, Mickey Mantle day and the rookie campaign of only 26 games by Thurman Munson. At the age of 22, this is one of the earliest known Munson signatures to ever hit the market and only the second 69 team signed ball to surface with a Munson signature. This Official Reach American League (Cronin) baseball has been signed by 17 members of the 1969 team in black ballpoint, including: Thurman Munson, Mel Stottlemyre, Roy White, Bobby Cox, Bobby Murcer, Joe Pepitone, Frank Fernandez, Dick Howser, Fritz Peterson, Horace Clarke, Len Boehmer, Ron Woods, Jack Aker, Bill Burbach, Tom Shopay, Jerry Kenney, and Jake Gibbs.
