Rarely seen collection of personal relics gifted from John Lennon to a former employee of Hunt-Wesson foods named Bob Hanzen. The collection consists of four(4) items total: a note to Hanzen in the hand of John Lennon, a typed hand signed letter from John Lennon to Bob Hanzen, an envelope which was hand written by Lennon and a black and white photograph of a number of Hunt-Wesson employees with John Lennon and Yoko. Mr. Hanzen obtained the items in 1973 after his sales team won a trip to Spain and by chance John and Yoko were on the same flight, the couple posed for the photograph at the airport in New York before the flight departed.

The first offering is an incredibly scarce 5.5" x 5.5" hand written letter from John Lennon given to Hanzen during the flight as Lennon wanted a copy of the photograph that had been taken earlier. The note reads as follows ‘H.FOOD Dear. Bob Hanson (sic) THE address for the photo is LENNON 105 BANK ST N.Y. N.Y. 10014. Thank you HAVE A GOOD TRIP OLE! John Lennon’. The note is on off white paper which has been folded and laid flat, otherwise fine.

The second offering is a typed 8" x 5" note that has the address ‘105 bank st ny; ny; 10014. On the top right side and it reads ‘Dear Bob, yes! we do remember all of you! Thank you very much for sending the photo’ we framed it and it now hangs in the kitchen. all the best to all of you, hope spain was fun. CONGRATULATIONS to your daughter; we send our best wishes for a happy future. Thanks again. John lennon/yoko ono’. John has signed full name in black felt tipped and he has also signed on behalf of Yoko Ono. Overall in fine condition.

The third offering is a hand 9.5" x 4" written envelope by John Lennon. It is also post marked ‘New York, July 1973’. In fine condition.

Lastly the item that brought about the whole collection, an original type 1 8" x 10" black and white photograph which was taken at the airport in New York is stamped verso ‘May 14 1973’. In very good condition.
