Glenn Scobey “Pop” Warner is a legend on & off the gridiron. Winning numerous National Championships in the early 1900’s, but most importantly helped formulate a league for boys to enjoy the game which is still active to this day. Offered here is a rare collection of three letters, one being typed and two others being hand written. All signed at the conclusion in ballpoint.
It’s worth noting on one of the hand written letters Warner draws what appears to be a triple option play in the bottom left corner. The option was only invented shortly prior to these letters by another pioneer in football, Amos Stagg, but apparently was so successful Warner caught wind of it also. Overall the letters are in fine condition each with horizontal folds, slight discoloration & expected wear to the edges. One hand written letter is also affixed to a scrap piece of cardboard holding all three pages together.
