Roger Maris to this day is considered by many the real single season home run king, lighting up the baseball World in 1961 by hitting "61 in 61", eclipsing Mantle & The Babe in the process. Despite the fame of becoming the single season home run king, Maris would often step away from the limelight, including when he would sign many baseballs. Maris single signed baseballs are among the most desirable of all non-Hall of Fame signatures, but especially those examples where he graced a sacred Official American League creamy vintage sphere.
