Using the cover art from their first album Kill 'Em All along with a mean ass devil looking demon Metallica was fully prepared to hit the road. Along with Anthrax, The Rods and Exciter the four horsemen were ready to take their act on the road. One problem. Ticket sales were horrible and the tour is cancelled. According to the band's tour manager at the time: "About two weeks before the start of the tour we noticed to our dismay that our best-selling show was the Newcastle Mayfair where we'd sold a massive 14 tickets. It was at that moment that we thought the tour might not be the success we wanted it to be, so we cancelled it immediately."
Offered here is an ultra rare original 24" x 34" poster issued by the band (prior to the tour's cancellation) to promote the tour. This eye-catching print is boldly signed in black felt tip marker by all four members of the band, including James Hetfield (who writes "Fuck'em!" along with his autograph), Lars Ulrich (who adds "Here's to your 2nd copy"), Kirk Hammett and the legendary Cliff Burton himself! In addition to the rarity of having Cliff Burton's autograph, the poster also showcases a rare full name signature from Lars (which was only done by him in the very early stages of the band's career, before he began only signing "Lars").
The poster itself features some moderate but expected handling wear as it was hung up in promotion of the band's tour. The corners exhibit pin holes and the lower left corner displays some paper loss. Given that 99% of these posters were simply torn down upon news of the band cancelling the tour, the fact that this poster is in such good condition is a miracle in itself, not to mentioned it has been signed by the group! A true collectible gem for the Metallica fan. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
