Fireballing Hall of Famer Nolan Ryan played for four teams during his 27-year career, but it is with the Houston Astros that he will be forever associated. Playing for the team from 1980-1988, Ryan won over 100 games, keeping his ERA to 3.13 and became the face of the franchise. This navy ball cap dates from Ryan's time in Houston. The cap shows light game use and the contrasting orange star and white "H" are strong and bright. The New Era tagging is sewn in the cap band as well as the MLB label and dual size tags "7 1/8" and "7 1/4". PSA/DNA has affixed sticker number U77394 to the leather sweatband. The bill is solid and the underside has Ryan's number "34" hand written in black marker. The Hall of Famer has signed his name (9/10) in black Sharpie just below his number on the underside of the brim, while also signing and inscribing "HOF 99" on the top of the bill, making this a very important game used cap. Comes with an LOA from game used expert Dave Miedema and COA for the signatures from PSA/DNA.
