As the American Civil War raged across the country, President Abraham Lincoln would hand-write & signed this 1864 2" x 6" album page in bold black fountain pen. Handwritten by the Commander & Chief “Let the prisoner above named be discharged on the condition stated.” While we may never know the condition of the release, such Presidential hand-written items as this offering are few & far between. Overall in fine condition with minor surface impressions. Authenticated by PSA/DNA with a full letter of authenticity.
