The 1970's were a magical decade for Francis Ford Coppola. In 1970, he won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay as co-writer of "Patton", only to top his success in 1972 with "The Godfather". He followed with "The Godfather Part II" in 1974, which became the first sequel to win the Academy Award for Best Picture. He then finished up the decade with the 1979 film "Apocalypse Now", notorious for its over-long and strenuous production, the film was critically acclaimed for its vivid and stark depiction of the Vietnam War. Offered here is the 1976 employment agreement signed at the conclusion by Coppola for that historic film. Overall in fine condition. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
