Andrew Carnegie to this day stands as the gold standard for philanthropist in the United States and the British Empire. During the last 18 years of his life, he gave away about $350 million (in 2015, $13.7 billion) – almost 90 percent of his fortune. Most well known for his massive sale of Pittsburgh's Carnegie Steel Company to J.P. Morgan in 1901 for $480 million, Carnegie helped build the infrastructure of this nation, some of which still remains to this day. Offered here is a rare 1" x 5" album page signed & dated by Carnegie, "Andrew Carnegie, May 11 1908." Overall in excellent condition. Authenticated & encapsulated by PSA/DNA.
