Late in the 1965 season, the New York Yankees feared Mickey Mantle was at the end of his career so they held a Mickey Mantle Day on September 18, 1965. It was a great event with Mantle’s family and friends. Only four other Yankees had ever been honored with such a day - Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Yogi Berra, and Joe DiMaggio. Offered is this handout program from that day with “Mickey Mantle Day” and “Yankee Stadium Saturday, SEPT. 18, 1965” sandwiching a great image of a smiling Mick. The four page program also features stats, other pictures and a small biography - not that anyone in attendance needed a bio of the great Mickey Mantle! A very bold, blue Sharpie “Mickey Mantle” signature adorns the front page. Peripheral handling wear and staining, with errant ballpoint pen marks along the bottom. Tremendous item commemorating The Mick! Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
