We scoured the auction archives of auction houses throughout the industry and were unable to find another signed Maravich jersey in the last twenty years of prices. Maravich's signature is on a piece of felt material on back and "44" is created around the autograph. The jersey is a recent creation, which hearkens back to Maravich's rookie season. The entire cut and formulation of the "44" on back was done with great care and looks the part. The other identifiers are created in single-color tackle twill. An "Adidas [size] XXL" tag is joined by a few other labels in the tail. Maravich's signature rates a solid "8" and qualifies this as the first signed jersey we have ever seen to hit the auction block, and possibly the only one in existence! Accompanied by dual Letters of Authenticity from PSA/DNA & James Spence Authentication (JSA).
