Miles Davis is among the most influential and acclaimed figures in the history of jazz and 20th century music. His five-decade career saw him at the forefront of a number of major stylistic developments in jazz. His 1959 "Kind of Blue" album remains the best selling jazz album of all time. Offered here is a rare 8" x 10" promotional photograph of Davis, signed by the "Picasso of Jazz" in bold purple felt tip marker. The exclamation point at the end of the autograph exhibits some smudging, but the autograph itself is clean and strong and the photograph is in good condition. The reverse has a notation of Davis' date of death in an unknown hand, as well as some spotting along the top. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
