After a tough 2001 that saw Frank Thomas lose his father and require season-ending surgery, the Big Hurt came back strong in 2002, when this bat played a role in a twenty-eight home run, ninety-two RBI campaign. The barrel is absolutely pounded with ball marks, stitch impressions and grain checking, with a lower handle crack finally bringing an end to an aparently long term of service. This Rawlings Big Stick 576B measures 34.5" long and just over 30 oz. in weight, and has a silver "X" on the barrell. Adding to the allure of this piece is a bold silver signature by Thomas, obtained in-person at the 2015 National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago, IL. A real workhorse from the 2014 Hall of Fame inductee. Don't miss out on this opportunity! Accompanied by a full Letter of Grading and Authenticity from PSA/DNA game used bat authority John Taube, who has deemed the usage of the bat as a grade of GU 8.
