General Charles Cornwallis was one of the leading British Generals in the American Revolution. His surrender in 1781 to American and French troops at the Battle of Yorktown ended significant hostilities in North American. Offered here is a handwritten free frank letter from London dated November 13, 1794, accomplished entirely in Cornwallis' hand. In overall fine condition with scattered foxing and handling wear. The double sided letter has been matted around the edges with a thicker card stock for added support. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
