Prior to his Presidency, George H.W. Bush (Sr.) wrote this note on a creamy white Vice President of the U.S.A. stationary. Dated 8-30-85, the note reads, "Dear John, Per the attached I contacted Bill Lucas. He is outstanding. Warm best wishes, George". In fine condition with even toning and an area of slight rust from having previously been affixed with a metal paperclip. Handwritten notes from any modern president are rare as typewritten memos and messages relayed through assistants become more commonplace.
