A signed Chase bank check from "The Bambino," filled out and signed by Ruth, "G.H. Ruth", payable to U.S. Collector of Internal Revenue (the IRS) for $709.76, dated September 10, 1946. The check remains incredibly clean, with no creases or major flaws of note. Ruth's handwriting is clear and the typical bank cancellation stamps do not at all affect Ruth's impeccable signature. Signed checks by Ruth are highly desirable, and this check being made out to the IRS is one-of-a-kind! Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
