Becoming the "new face" of the franchise, Lou Gehrig would assume a role not needed of him previously while Ruth was on hand, providing leadership and a veteran presence for the transitional squad. Offered here is an ultra-rare team signed Lefty Gomez Yankee League baseball featuring autographs from 20 members of the team. Notable autographs include Lou Gehrig (on the sweet spot!), Red Ruffing, Joe Sewell, Lefty Gomez, Bill Dickey, Johnny Murphy, and Frank Crosetti. The ball exhibits moderate toning and spotting. The autographs have faded evenly over time but are all very much visible. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
