Dated March 16, 1962, this "Memorandum of Understanding" showcases beautiful "9-10" signatures of Floyd Patterson and Charles "Sonny" Liston, along with that of Championship Sports President Thomas A. Bolan. The 8.5" x 11" onion-skin page displays EX overall appearance. The text agrees Patterson and Liston to a match in Chicago on September 25, 1962. Of this match, Liston was later known to say, "I felt enough of him under my glove on that last hook to know it was a good enough punch to put any man down hard." Sure enough, Liston's 25-pound wight advantage and 13"-longer reach proved too much for Patterson in a 1st-round KO. The signed MOU document is accompanied by a photocopy of a Memorandum of Agreement that spells out all of the terms; Liston's Manager's photocopied letter to the PA State Athletic Commission; a letter of Patterson's lawyer from the Illinois State Athletic Commission, and a LOA from Janet Patterson, as well as full Letters of Authenticity from both James Spence Authentication (JSA) and PSA/DNA.
