Ty Cobb, nicknamed "The Georgia Peach", may have been the best all around baseball player that ever lived. He was known for his aggressive base running style and his ability to hit to all fields. He won nine consecutive American League batting titles from 1907 to 1915 and three more in his career. In 1936, the first balloting was held for election to the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Cobb Received the most votes of the five electees and came within four votes of unanimity, so he was inducted into the first Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame. Offered here is a 1953 Hall of Fame Series pamphlet titled "Baseball's Immortals: The Story of Ty Cobb" signed by the Peach in black ballpoint pen "Ty Cobb, 6/28/60". In fine condition with some toning and general handling wear. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
