Nobody knew if New York Knicks Captain Willis Reed would play in Game 7 of the 1970 NBA Finals. He had suffered a torn muscle in his right thigh during Game 5 against the Los Angeles Lakers, and hadn't played in Game 6. Just moments before tip-off, with the help of an injection for the pain in his leg, Reed limped onto the court. Waves of cheers came from the stands as fans caught sight of Reed, and although he didn't have an incredible game, his presence was more than enough to inspire the Knicks to a 113-99 victory, taking the franchise's first NBA Championship. Offered here is a 20" x 24" photograph from that memorable game, of Willis Reed and Lakers Center Wilt Chamberlain facing off on the court. Both players have signed the bottom border of the photo in stunning black felt tip marker. To top it off, the photograph has been gorgeously matted and framed to a total size of 29" x 35". Ready for immediate display! Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
