Rogers Hornsby is known to this day as one of the best hitters of all time, 2nd only to Ty Cobb with his career batting average of .358. Playing for a stunning 23 seasons and coaching/managing for even longer, you could say he knew a thing or two about baseball. Offered here is a Chicago Daily News issued booklet written by Hornsby for the Chicago Daily News Baseball School (for which he is credited as director), titled "How to Hit...And Play Third Base".
