Harley-Davidson, founded at the turn of the 20th century by William S. Harley and his childhood friend Arthur Davidson, along with the help of Arthur's brother Walter, was one of only two major American motorcycle manufacturers to survive the Great Depression. It has survived ownership arrangements, periods of poor economic health and intense global competition to become one of the world's largest motorcycle manufacturer and an iconic brand widely known for its loyal following. Offered here is an original 1950 document between the Harley-Davidson Motor Company and Landry Cycle & Supply Co. of Framingham, Massachusetts. Offering the sale of a large amount of "such Nineteen Hundred Fifty-one Model Harley-Davidson Motorcycles, Sidecars, Servi-Cars, Package Trucks, and Chassis, as it may desire to sell for resale in the territory hereinafter...." from Harley Davidson Motor Company, the document has been signed at the conclusion by Arthur Davidson as Secretary confirming the deal between the two parties, and also signed by Leon J. Landry on behalf of the other party. Overall in fine condition with horizontal folds. Authenticated by Beckett Authentication Services (BAS) with a full letter of authenticity.
