Offered here is a 16x20 one page appointment that has been signed by both Theodore Roosevelt and William Taft. The document has been matted to an overall size of 20x24. Taft was the Secretary of War at the time this document was signed. Roosevelt appoints Francis B. Upham as “First Lieutenant in the Artillery Corps.” It has the blue seal affixed to the lower left. There is a repaired horizontal tear to the lower third of the document. The item will be accompanied by a Full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
