Rare & desirable un-executed partly-printed 12.5" x 15" one page Ship's Pass document signed by both"James K. Polk" as president and "James Buchanan" in bold ink at the conclusion. Ships-pass documents typically were extensively handled, making their way onto the passing ship and to the hands of the interested trade party, leading to many condition issues. This un-executed document remains in excellent condition with an intact seal & only defect being horizontal & vertical folds. Professionally framed and matted to an overall size of 18* x 14" with minor handling wear to the edges.
