To this day many baseball historians would credit Lou Gehrig with the best hitting season of all time. Always overshadowed by Babe Ruth, Gehrig would remain out of the limelight as much as possible. Not when it came to the 1933 Goudey set, however. In this case, Gehrig was featured on not one, but two cards. Featured here is a #92 card from that set portraying Gehrig at bat. The card retains a strong image of the immortal Yankee. The card has moderate toning and handling wear and has a "New York" ink stamp on the reverse. Although not as popular as the 1934 cards, this card remains a key to the 1933 Goudey set in any condition. Authenticated, encapsulated & graded PR-FR 1 by the experts at PSA.
