To this day many baseball historians would credit Lou Gehrig with the best hitting season of all time. Always overshadowed by Babe Ruth, Gehrig would remain out of the limelight as much as possible. While the Babe would sign for almost any willing fan, Gehrig would walk by the many request just trying to move on with his day. For that reason among others, single signed Lou Gehrig items are even more rare than dual signed Ruth Gehrig material & certainly more scarce than the famous autograph of The Babe on it's own. Offered here is a unique vintage signed 5" x 4" magazine photograph of Sweat Lou in uniform. Signed by the legend in bold black fountain point ink along the top left edge. Overall in fine condition with minor handling wear & discoloration. Authenticated by PSA/DNA with a full letter of authenticity.
