By the time he delivered "Thriller" to the world in 1982, Michael Jackson had been one of the top recording stars in the world for over a dozen years, both with and without his brothers. With the release of the album, Jackson would become a force of almost interplanetary power in the stratosphere of Elvis Presley and the Beatles - and not just because of his much-copied moonwalk. "Thriller" spent 37 consecutive weeks at number one after it was released, and in just over a year, became the world's best-selling album, having sold an estimated 66 million copies. At its peak, the album was selling a million copies a week, and total sales are estimated now to be over 110 million copies sold worldwide. On top of the sales, the album broke the MTV color barrier with "Beat It", and created the measure by which music videos are still judged with the "Thriller" video.
Offered here is a signed copy of Jackson's landmark "Thriller" album, with a choice red ballpoint pen ink autograph on the cover, with the autograph dating to the era of the album's release. The cover itself is in fine condition with minor handling wear and surface impressions. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
