Mickey Mantle was one of the first men to charge premium prices for his autograph. When the big signature boom exploded in the 1980s, Mantle preferred to sign baseballs and photos and didn't pen his identity to bats and jerseys often. This Mitchell & Ness pinstribed classic is signed by Mantle in 8-9/10 black felt tip marker above the interlocking "NY" logo on the front. The jersey resembles what Mantle wore during his rookie season, with a 1951 Golden Anniversary patch residing on the left sleeve. All identifiers are sewn-on. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
