In their first meeting in 1970, Jerry Quarry served as Muhammad Ali's first opponent in over three years after refusing induction into the army and being temporarily suspended from boxing. Ali stopped his foe via cut after only three rounds. In the June 27th, 1972 Las Vegas rematch, Quarry was once again no match for "The Greatest", who defeated his opponent in the 7th round by TKO. This single-page contract is from this famed 1972 bout. Signed by Ali and promoter Robert (Bob) Arum twice on the bottom of the contract in black ink, it displays minor tears on the sides and creasing on bottom corners but it presents quite nicely, measuring 8.5" x 14". Although Ali was a very accomodating signer later on, career era memorabilia from Ali is rare, especially something as unique as a fight contract. With his recent death, career relics such as this are in high demand! Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
