This jersey boasts an epic lineage, worn by the great Pele, widely regarded as the greatest soccer player in history. The Brazilian represented his native country four times in the World Cup (1958-70) and anchored the legendary Santos FC for nearly two decades (1956-74). He spent his last three playing years (1975-77) with the New York Cosmos of the NASL, culminating with a title his final season. Though well past his prime, Pele still dominated in his late 30s and had an enormous impact on launching the popularization of soccer in the U.S. With that kind of pedigree comes this handsome white mesh Cosmos jersey, which features screened-on identifiers. His immortal No. 10 is applied to the chest beside the team logo, and again on the reverse beneath the most famous name in the sport's history. Interior collar is tagged "Champion Medium," correct for the legend's rather small but powerful frame. The shirt has a green elastic collar and sleeves, and shows solid wear all-around. It comes problem-free and as-issued and was acquired from SCP Auctions. It will be accompanied by paperwork from that sale. Don't miss out on this rare chance to own a piece of soccer history!
