This letter, dated June 5, 1955, was sent to President Dwight D. Eisenhower's older brother, Mr. Ed Eisenhower, in regards to scheduling a speaking engagement the following year. Reads, in part: "We could not g ive the final answer before February or early March of next year. Of course, I am complimented by his invitation, but it is simply impossible to be more definite at this time." The letter is typed on official White House letterhead. Signed with a casual "D.E." by the President in black fountain pen. In fine condition with some toning due to age and two hole punches at the top of the page. Accompanied by a full Letter of Authenticity from Beckett Authentication Services (BAS).
