Kennedy would squeak by (51% to 48%) in what was a year dominated by the Republican party with President Dwight D. Eisenhower winning with 442 Electoral votes to Adlai Stevenson's 89, a vote that would end 20 consecutive years of Democratic control of the White House. This professionally framed & matted January 1953 letter was signed by President John F. Kennedy to a supporter who helped make John F. Kennedy's all important victory in Massachusetts possible.
