For many fans of baseball during the 1960's & 70's it really didn't get much better than Roberto Clemente. With fifteen All-Star appearances, two World Series Championships, a .317 career batting average & 3000 hits on the nose, Clemente was destined for the sacred grounds of Canton even prior to his passing in 1972. Despite being considered one of the most influential non-American players to ever hit the diamond, single signed items by Clemente in any form are unquestionably rare. Offered here is possibly the most scarce medium of them all, a single signed baseball bat by one of the best hitters of all-time, signed in bold green fountain pen on the barrel of a Tommy Davis baseball bat "Best Wishes Roberto Clemente." While single signed baseballs are nothing to turn your nose to, single signed baseball bats by Clemente are on a whole different level with less than 20 authentic known examples in the hobby. Overall in fine condition with one minor crack near the handle & scattered scuffing. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from James Spence Authentication (JSA).
