During the late 1970's following the release of Star Wars in 77, George Lucas was quite the busy man to say the least. Working on a new project called Raiders of the Lost Ark, Lucas would turn over screenplay work to Leigh Brackett who would produce an unused script for The Empire Strikes Back named "Star Wars sequel". Lucas would reject many aspects of the script, and sadly Brackett would pass on March 18th, 1978 prior to the sequels release in 1980. Prior to this late contract, Leigh worked exclusively with novels and short stories, one of those Sci-Fi classics being "The Starmen of Llyrdis". Offered here is a vintage soft cover copt of "The Starmen of Llyrdis" signed & inscribed "To Bob, Leigh Brackett" in bold ballpoint ink on the title page. Overall in fine condition with handling wear to the edges, minor discoloration & paper loss to the edges.
