It's hard to believe that Jim Morrison packed so much life into only 27 years. Besides inventing the rock star mystique, he created a body of music and poetry that infatuates music fans perhaps as much today as when he was alive to perform it. His tragic death in 1971 has secured the mystery of his brief, yet prolific life, which ended at the same age as fellow star-crossed immortals Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix and Kurt Cobain. Morrison's signature is certainly one of the most valuable and highly desirable of all rock stars. The "Lizard King" did not sign his name often, and many of the signatures that are available on photos have been forged. Thankfully, this 4" x 6" off-white album page dates from his known days at the Whisky A Go-Go helping pinpoint the date of this termendous offering. Signed in bold blue ballpoint "J Morrison" dating to 1967 following a show. Overall in fine condition with light discoloration & torn upper edges. Easily one of the nicest we have ever handled! Authenticated by Roger Epperson/REAL authentication with a full letter of authenticity.
